Everybody is expecting Google Pixel 5 after Google released Pixel 4a in August. Many other big phones like iPhone 12 are coming soon but Google provides only a few leaks and rumours on Pixel 5.
Google Pixel 5 is the follow-up to 2019's Pixel 4 with some top features and a great camera phone. We can expect Pixel 5 to be launched around October 2020 but may be delayed due to ongoing pandemic. According to Google, we can expect it within 2020 improving shortfalls that we saw in Pixel 4.
Pixel 4 and 4XL despite its popularity, didn't get an enthusiastic welcome from buyers. Let's hope Google will utilize this opportunity do best for their customer satisfaction.

We can expect released date of October 8. This is because Google accidentally leaked pre-order date for Pixel 5 on October 8 and the same day can be a release date.
We can expect 6.67-inch screen which will feature a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Google Pixel 5: Release date
Google has always been consistent when it launched its new Pixel flagships. We can expect Google Pixel 5 release at early to mid-October because Pixel 4 was also debuted at an October.
Wait.. wait before you mark this date into your calendar, remember that COVID 19 outbreak has also impacted on consumer goods that are assembled in China. Some sources have stated that Apple may also delay the launch of the iPhone 12 due to travel restriction and factory closure.
You can clearly see shifting release schedules for all upcoming phones. As stated in the News section, the pre-order date also can be the release date for Google Pixel 5 as pre-order goes live after the announcement of phones in most of the cases.
Google has stated that with the release of Pixel 5, they will also introduce the Pixel 4a 5G at the same time.
Google Pixel 5: Price and models
Starting price of Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL were $799 and $899, the same price at which Pixel 3 was debuted. It wouldn't be surprising even if the starting price of Google Pixel 5 is $999 because Google is trying to make a new phone more and more substantive to justify the hike.
Thinking another way, Google could also cut the price of its flagship phone to compete well with other expensive rivals. According to a survey the starting price of Pixel 5 can be $699 and is $300 less than Galaxy S20 if this is true.
Google Pixel 5: Display
Talking about the display, just some of the first rumours have started. We can expect OLED panel with Full-Hd resolution or QHD and refresh rate of 120Hz but we are not sure what's Google planning.
About the size, the rumours from Ross Young hints screen size of 6.67 inches. If this is true, Pixel 5 will be the largest phone in Google's phone series.

Google Pixel 5: Design
Till now, we just have some leaked image of Google Pixel 5, the rendered image of the back of the Pixel 5 XL by Front Page Tech. The design isn't expected to depart from the Pixel 4 except centring camera and running it all the way to the top of the frame.
Other details about the look aren't revealed but we can expect Pixel 5 to feature same forehead bezel like the pixel 4. Pixel 5 also may include Face Unlock feature that was introduced with the Pixel 4.

Google Pixel 5: Cameras
Everyone was thrilled with the camera included by Google in Pixel 4a. We can expect a wide-angle lens in Google Pixel 5 which was missing in Pixel 4.
We can see three lenses on the back of the phone by observing the CAD render of the Pixel 5.
We can expect new photo fearures, motion blur mode, audio zoom features, adjustable camera flash and more video sharing options in Pixel 5.

Google Pixel 5: Battery
We haven't found any rumour about the size of battery but it will be one of the most searched topics this year because Google Pixel 4 included only 2,800mAh battery.
The average battery life of Pixel 4 was roughly 8hr and 3min which almost 2hr less than the average smartphone. They included 3,700mAh battery in Pixel 4XL which lasts roughly 9hr and 42min and this is also not the expectation from a leading phone.
We can expect the addition of another power-management feature in Pixel 5 along with reverse charging.
Google Pixel 5: 5G
We can expect 5G connectivity in Pixel 5 despite the processor. As we know Snapdragon 865 doesn't come with the built-in 5G modem. But talking about Qualcomm, it requires makers to include its X55 5G modem with the chipset.
This can be one of the factors for driving up the cost of Pixel 5 because 5G powered tend to cost higher than their LTE-based counterparts.
Google Pixel 5: Specs
Google Pixel 5 wasn't included in the list in which Qualcum featured Snapdragon 856 processor. But don't panic, Qualcomm only includes the list of phones that have been already announced. We can expect Snapdragon 865 plus as past Pixel flagships have featured the best Qualcomm chip available.
This is just our assumption, but the Camera app by 9to5Google contains code related to Pixel 5 that suggest the use of Snapdragon 765G.
Snapdragon 765 is just a mid-range processor. It would suggest less processing oomph but has integrated 5G modems. Actually this G variant processor is designed for gaming with faster graphics rendering capabilities.
The newer version of Snapdragon 765G (768 G) could also be an option for Pixel 5's processor. This processor features a clock speed of the main core in CPU and faster GPU.
If Google chooses 765 or 768G for Pixel 5, it wouldn't be able to compete with the upcoming iPhone 12 in terms of speed. It's because the A13 Bionic available in the current iPhones out spaces the Snapdragon 865 in the newer Android smartphones.
Talking about RAM, it has always been a weak point in the Pixel series. Google Pixel 4 offered 6GB of RAM after its three predecessors. We don't have any information about the RAM but we still can expect at least 8GB.
Pixel 4 offered the internal storage of 64GB. Moving on to Pixel 5 we should expect storage of at least 128GB or more.

We noticed Google's simple mistakes with Pixel 4 regarding battery size, wide-angle camera, limited internal storage and RAM.
We think that Pixel 4's feedback helps Google to go towards a roadmap for better success with Google Pixel 5. All the information about Google Pixel 5 are based on leaks and rumours and may not be 100 % accurate until its release.
